Our World Festival

We’re celebrating Upstate International Month in the Upstate with GloboDrum! You don’t want to miss the Brothers in Rhythm, Dave & Jeff Holland, as GloboDrum makes its Greenville debut. This rare premiere will feature cultures, traditional instruments, and songs from around the world. It’s Edu-tainment, that’s Educational Entertainment, at its best!

We can’t invite one of the most amazing Multi-ethnic Percussionist and Drum Circle Facilitators to Greenville without hosting a workshop! Dave Holland from Interactive Rhythms and Beatin’ Path Rhythm Events is going to host a workshop at 4:00pm.

From the solo spotlight of the Mandinka drum ensemble to drum circles as far away as Tokyo, California and Australia, the djembe has become one of the most popular hand drums on the planet! In this hands-on, interactive workshop you’ll discover new ways to make this versatile instrument fit into almost any setting! Our ‘djourney’ features rhythms of Egypt, Senegal, Puerto Rico, Brazil and U.S. Along the way, you’ll learn some new techniques, check out some cool, new instruments and share the joy of drumming with others!

I’m sure Dave will also jump in the Drum Circle to get everyone moving and grooving, as the workshop transitions into Greenville’s Only Official Drum Circle around 5:00pm.

GloboDrum will take the stage at 7:00pm.

Get there early to Fellowship, Mingle, and Smooze at 3:00pm. Bring food or beverage to share, or join by making a donation to the OWF Fundraising Fund.

We suggest a sliding donation from $15-$25 to allow everyone to attend, while supporting our organization. We can make a little go a long way, but we could do so much more in communities that need “Unity Through Diversity.” With your help and support, we can continue to host multi-cultural events in our community and beyond. Thank you for sharing your festive spirit with OUR WORLD!!!
