Falls Park and the Campus of the Peace Center
The City of Greenville announced that we will be the first city on the east coast of the US to host the monumental bronze sculpture collection — Wings of the City — by world-renowned Mexican artist Jorge Marín.

The nine sculptures will arrive in town on April 2 and remain on display throughout Falls Park + on the campus of the Peace Center until OctoberClick here for an interactive map to view the future locations of the works of art. #ProTip — If you click on each pin on the map, you can view the name of the sculpture, the year it was created, its size, and a brief description of the inspiration behind its creation.

Previously, the iconic sculpture from the collection Alas de México (alas means wings in Spanish) has even *flown* to Sacramento, CA; Denver, CO; Dubai; and Istanbul.

The city partnered with the Hispanic Alliance, the Jorge Marín Foundation, Bank of America, and others to secure the exhibition of this collection in Greenville. The collection is expected to draw visitors from across the region and Adela Mendoza, executive director of the Hispanic Alliance of SC, said, ‘Wings of the City’ highlights the importance of migration and the cultural exchange that enriches societies…This world-class exhibit celebrates the global spirit of the Upstate — symbolizing human connection across distance, and the role of art as a universal language.”
