Cette f\u00eate de trois jours symbolise le d\u00e9but du printemps. On trouve des traces de Holi d\u00e8s le VIIe si\u00e8cle, o\u00f9 elle est d\u00e9crite dans de nombreux textes sanskrits et \u00e9voqu\u00e9e dans la pi\u00e8ce \u201c\u00a0Ratnavali\u00a0\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Phagwah est un autre nom pour cette f\u00eate. Dans le sud de l&#039;Inde, on l&#039;appelle Bhojpuri. Cette f\u00eate symbolise la victoire du bien sur les forces d\u00e9moniaques, le triomphe de la lumi\u00e8re sur les t\u00e9n\u00e8bres.
