EXTRA International Women’s Group fieldtrip to Forx Farm,
an artisan Dutch cheese making farm in Anderson.

Start Time of tour: 10.00am. Tour will be around 1 hour. Time for tasting and purchasing cheese after the tour.
End time: 12.00pm/noon
Gebühr: $5.00 per person to be paid upon arrival at the farm to our group leader.

We will learn about the process of making Dutch Gouda cheese from raw milk going through several steps. Then eventually riping from 2 to 30 months depending on the taste they want to achieve for the individual cheese wheels.
We will tour the facility and see the storage room with all the beautiful cheeses lined up!
Afterwards we will have the opportunity to taste the different cheeses (several varieties of Gouda, Brie, Ricotta, Gruyere, Parmesan) and other products like e.g. butter. Bring a cooler if you want to purchase cheeses!
Option to join our group for lunch at a nearby restaurant after the farm visit.
