Helena Harte is a senior Political Science and History double major at Clemson University. She received a full-ride through the National Scholars Program. She is interested in the government’s role in mitigating or provoking political violence, specifically in India. Helena lived in New Delhi as a child and now seeks to understand how Modi’s regime has changed the makeup of political violence. She is planning to pursue a PhD in Violence, Terrorism, and Security. She also is the undergraduate researcher for the Clemson University Historian, and provides walking campus history tours.
