Chuck’s Next Chapter
Chuck the Groundhog has a new home! 😍
While it goes without saying that we will miss his waddles and scurrying, we are so very happy to report that Chuck has found a new burrow (burough? 😆 ) in an undisclosed woodland edge. A place he can roam free from the busy goings-on at UI house. Join us in wishing him the best in his new abode. 🏡 🌳

Update for the Upcoming Conversation Clubs
FRENCH: FCC will meet at Upstate International House on Friday, April 24, from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. In honor of Earth Day, there will be a special activity planned in the gardens.
GERMAN: GCC will hold its monthly Stammtisch on Saturday, May 2 beginning at 6:00 PM at Fire Forge Crafted Beer in Greenville. They look forward to speaking German with you; all levels are welcome.
PORTUGUESE: A new club led by José Augusto Ramos, PCC is open to students of all levels of Portuguese proficiency! This club will meet on the 4th Monday of each month at UI House from 7:00 – 8:15 PM.
RUSSIAN: Unfortunately, there will be no RCC on Sunday, April 26. We look forward to seeing you again at UI House on Sunday, May 31, 2:00 – 3:15 PM.

It was constructed over a period of about nine years, from 1922 to 1931. It was officially completed and inaugurated on October 12, 1931.
The statue was designed by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, with sculptural work by French-Polish artist Paul Landowski.
