Get ready for a day full of adventure, fresh air, and fun! Join us for a hike at Flat Rock/Glassy Mountain, followed by apple picking at the lovely Sky Top Orchard. We’ll meet at 9:00 AM in the parking lot behind Starbucks at Pelham/South Pleasantburg/E. North Street, and then head to Flat Rock, NC, for an unforgettable day.
The hike offers something for everyone: challenge yourself with a moderate to strenuous 1-hour hike each way, or opt for a more relaxed stroll around the beautiful Carl Sandburg Home trails. After our hike, we’ll head to Sky Top Orchard to pick fresh apples and indulge in mouth-watering apple donuts!
Pack a picnic lunch, plenty of fluids, and don’t forget some cash for your apple treats. We’ll aim to be back by mid-afternoon, but if you need to return earlier, consider driving your own car. Carpoolers, please bring $5 cash for your driver.
