About the band (from https://kogercenterforthearts.com/event.php?id=1345)
David Rodriguez & the Latin Hustle (El Ajetro Latino) are one of the very few live Latin Dance Bands in the state of South Carolina. David Rodriguez moved to SC in 2010 from New York City to bring something new to Columbia. Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, Salsa, and Latin Jazz are some of the sounds and rhythms you will hear at one of their performances. Rodriguez has worked with a few different groups in Columbia such as Palmetto Luna Arts and the Latin Caravan (now known as the Latin Hustle). Rodriguez has developed a distinct sound full of energy and dance. The Latin Hustle consists of musicians from different parts of the world:
- David Rodriguez – Bronx, NY (Puerto Rican/Dominican)
- Neftali Rivera – Guayama, PR
- Edgar Perez – Bronx, NY (Dominican)
- Luis Garcia Bruno – Caguas, PR
- Douglas Watson – Newark, NJ (Puerto Rican/Dominican)
- George Rottman – Guatemala City, Guatemala
- Josguel Toro – Maracay, Venezuela
The combination of cultures has a vibe like no other.
