Beyond the Headlines Event

Attend the next Beyond the Headlines event on April 10th at noon. The event will focus on the Uncovered: Exposing corruption, in an era of clicks, polarization, and growing news deserts, presented by Tony Bartelme, a Senior Project Reporter of the Post and Courier – Charleston, SC.

In recent years it has become increasingly challenging to fight corruption in the age of “fake news” because of a decline in the number of local newspapers in the nation. How did this happen? How are corrupt officials now being exposed? How can we restore local journalism? This event seeks to answer these questions through a discussion of the Post and Courier’s Uncovered project.

We strive to keep political opinions out of the presentation as much as possible and allow people to ask questions and formulate their opinions.

Lunch is $14, but the event itself is FREE! Come widen your horizons by being educated on the world’s ongoing issues. (Open to the Public)

🥪Registration for Ticket Boxed Lunch will close Wednesday, 04/03/24, at 4:00 pm.

🎟Registration for Ticket Attendance Only will close Monday, 04/08/24, at 4:00 pm.
